An Image Consultant Adventure: Five Days, Five Boutiques

Consultant Boutique Suggestions for the Perfect Image

As your Indiana Image Consultant, I like to keep on all things fashion – beyond just magazines and my favorite haunts. We are lucky here in Indianapolis to have some really cute boutiques to check out for something different that the masses aren’t wearing. You are!

I thought it would be fun to profile some new businesses that are new to me – it doesn’t mean they are totally new! As a consultant, I like to try a lot of new boutiques that a wide variety of my clients will love! I live centrally in Indianapolis, so I tend to shop at my usual haunts, but I love seeing some new, exciting stores – especially boutiques. Men, your Indiana Image Consultant will be featuring men’s stores and boutiques in next week’s consultant blogs.

Image ConsultantImage Consultant Pick #1: Anthony Vince’ Nail Spa

This week I was privileged to have a pedicure at a brand-new business in Clay Terrace Shopping Center in Carmel, Indiana. I love shopping at this mall, although it’s not a favorite on a cold winter’s day! Anyway, I went to a new salon, just open two months: Anthony Vince Nail Spa.  This is a beautifully decorated store with new mani-pedi chairs and sweet, courteous staff. Their overall image was stunning. The dryers were so fast (and so quiet) in less than 10 minutes my image perfect red pedicure was dry. Follow this spa on Facebook at Anthony Vince’ Nail Spa

Consultant Pick #2: Clothes Candy Boutique

Next, I was off to my second visit: Clothes Candy Boutique, also in Clay Terrace. This cute shop is not new—been there more than a year—but it was new to me and I happily browsed. I found their tops, sweaters and dresses quite unique. They fit my image beautifully. I bought a burgundy cut-out sweater that is quite chic for under $42. It is really cute, and a close runner-up was red/black Buffalo plaid vest. It fit perfectly and looked nice with my black jeans and a long tunic. Hmmm…maybe I will go back and get that. Consultant Pick #3: Leslie Jane

Third, another boutique I’d been wanting to check out is Leslie Jane. I love their boots, especially this pair here. I discovered this Zionsville gem has been at the Keystone at the Crossing Mall for a little over three months. It is a great store, with some pretty, colorful finds and prices are truly affordable. One item I loved was a rust-colored, corduroy coat that was longer with a belt.Image Consultant So good for nearly all figure types. Isn’t it so cute? Follow them, or stop in at the mall!

Consultant Pick #4: Civvies Boutique

Civvies Boutique is in my neighborhood, in the 54thand Monon Shops, and is one of my favorites. Why? It truly has some usual pieces that other stores do not have. I discovered Pistola jeans there – they fit so well – and recently bought this animal print sweatshirt. It’s not just any sweatshirt – it has a yummy lining and a velvet trim on it. I wear it with skinny black jeans that balances the wideness of the top. Stunning image. It is definitely a statement piece. If you wonder about the shop’s name, it is based on its original location in Culver, Indiana, near the Culver Military Academy. It’s the place cadettes buy “civilian” clothes. So interesting, and that shop is near my hometown. Love Lake Max, too. Like the shop and their image on Facebook.

Consultant Pick #5: Evereve

One last consultant shout out to a smaller shop—it is a franchise and not independent—but still worth a mention. I love Evereve—in town it’s at Clay Terrace and Keystone at the Crossing. I love the way they also sell shoes. I was looking for pants and they had 6 brands of black jeans. While I didn’t buy them there, I was surprised at their selection. What I like about this store is that it’s very easy to put together a casual or even business casual outfit here – a complete outfit, top to bottom, including shoes. Especially as a consultant wanting to give my clients the best deal and wardrobe. Trust me as your consultant, go to their website and see about the buzz, and follow them and like their image on Facebook and Instagram.

Keep it sassy, Indy.
