Once in a while I will go into a store looking for a fashion item and instead be fixated on items in the decor/housewares department. That was the case yesterday when I stopped into Silver in the City on Mass Ave in Indianapolis (there is also a store on Main Street in Carmel, Ind.). I have always liked their delicate, pretty silver jewelry. But their housewares department rivals their beautiful jewelry. I loved the pretty colors, homespun flavor of the items for the kitchen. The store features colorful Mason jars, pretty floral aprons and polka dot towels. (in the photo above).
Another great place for Housewares is Anthropology; it’s at Keystone at the Crossing mall. I am a fan of their eclectic clothing, but also love their cups, plates and vases as well as bedspreads, etc. Check it out the next time you head in there for clothing. The store also puts these items on sale. What can be better than that (okay, maybe maple ice cream).
Keep it classy, Indy.
