It was too hard to tell you all my favorite things in one post, so here is the second installment from your Carmel Personal Stylist.
Number Six: Lancome Hydrate & Prep Face Primer
As a Carmel Personal Stylist, I have used various primers over the years, but I have really enjoyed this one from Lancome – the Hydrate and Prep Face Primer. It is light, gives me a glow and blends well under my foundation. And, a dab is all that is needed. I also like the light, moisturizing texture of it and the scent. Sounds like a winner, right?
Number Seven: Every Damn Day Sunscreen & Moisturizer
For men, one of my favorite skin products to recommend is this sunscreen and moisturizer. I love that it is two products in one. You can buy it at Target; it’s effective and at a good price point. Men seem to like that it doesn’t smell like a woman’s product, and the product sinks into the skin quickly.
Number Eight: Sally Hansen Advanced Hard as Nails Strengthener
I also love this nail strengthener. It helps me keep my nails in shape and strong. I also try to wear gloves to avoid water, which really weakens your nails. As a Carmel Personal Stylist, I apply the nail strengthener for 5 days and then remove it, and start the process all over again. It keeps my nails looking great between manicures.
Number Nine: Eye Makeup
I have always said if I was stranded on a desert island and had one item of makeup with me, which would I choose? Of course, I couldn’t narrow it down to one, but these two: mascara and eye pencil. These little products accomplish so much! The best way to pick an eye pencil is to test it on your hand: Does it “draw” easily, or do you have to press down to get any color or product. A creamy eye pencil is essential so won’t pull your eyes when you apply them. I like these companies for eyeliners: Lancome, Bobbi Brown, Estee Lauder, Makeup Forever. I like to wear colors for variety, and when I do I keep my lip less bold. And, while you’re lining your eyes, avoid lining your entire eye, top and bottom, with black. This simple application makes your eyes look so much smaller.
Number Ten: Crest Brilliance Hydrogen Peroxide Toothpaste
I do meet many clients who do not have white teeth. There are several reasons for this, but I do recommend this one as my favorite whitening toothpaste. I really like that toothpaste is white and does not leave residue in the sink, and it works! I love my white teeth. This is a great endorsement for Crest, considering I drink quite a bit of coffee and tea! I also like that toothpaste has fluoride in it as well!
