Colts Wear: Go Team!

We enjoy going to Colts games when they are in Indianapolis, and I equally enjoy watching what everyone wears. It’s interesting that most people wear their favorite player’s jersey: Andrew Luck, TY Hilton, Regge, etc. Or just a blue sweater or sweatshirt. When it’s warmer, sometimes ladies will wear white jeans or a blue jean skirt with their jerseys, and I think that’s a great look.

Last year, I was fortunate enough to find a cute blue/white sweater with No. 12 (Andrew Luck) on it. I like to wear it with skinnies and boots. I also like Colts knit tops that are v-neck or have sparkle.

I continue to support my team by buying Colts merchandise! Three years ago at Christmas, I did ask for a small Colts cross body. I loved that purse, but when we couldn’t take them to games anymore, I sold it at consignment.

I have a few items of Colts jewelry. It was very inexpensive and falls off quite a bit, so I don’t wear it that much. Some jewelry stores have some really nice pieces though…Hmmmm Christmas in the future??

A couple of years ago I bought a pink Colts shirt, and figured out that you only wear those in October for Breast Cancer Awareness month. You also see the players wearing pink accents with their uniforms to support the cause. I love it!

I also see many people with white “Colts” coats–I covet those. Maybe one day I will get one for Christmas (hint, hint). I bought my husband and I matching Colts winter hats, complete with a pom-pom. This year, I added Colts scarves with some silver threading on it. My husband really likes it and wears it.

Now, I am not one of those people who dresses up silly for my team, although I love to laugh at them. I love the Colts “heads.” I am sure they are heavy though. One of the funniest parts of the game is when Blue (the mascot) starts acting up. I have a special place in my heart for Blue. He was at a news conference for Clarian Health, standing behind my former CEO, jumping up and down, being so funny I thought I would fall over laughing.

My dream is to someday be featured on the kiss cam. I alway make Michael give me a kiss, just in case they pan the upper levels of Lucas Oil Stadium!

In the end…It probably doesn’t matter what you wear to the games. When we’re all cheering on our home team…we indeed are the “12th man!” That’s what makes it so fun.

Looks as though we are playing the New England Patriots next weekend. It’s not a yellow brick road to Phoenix, but’s just a little closer than we were last week. I have fond memories of when we beat the Patriots here in Indianapolis–a repeat performance, please?
